Revenge of the Jedi
Alwolf's MudGuide to Success
and the city of Mos Eisley
Here you are, the very planet of Obi-Wan and his student Luke Skywalker!
This is the largest planet on the entire mud, surely it is made up of dozens of areas and different zones. You start the game at a place called port which is the usual meeting place of most players. A few key places that are good to know how to get to from port include the following:(N)orth - (S)outh - (W)est - (E)ast - (U)p - (D)own
Newbie Zone: Up
Landing Pad: N 2E
Hotel: S 2E U
Bank: AllSouth W 2S E
Donation Room: Down
Board Rooms: West
Dueling Arena: W U
Armory: 2S W S
Heff's: 2S 2W N
Tar's: 2S E N
Weaponry: AllSouth W S E S W
Please bear with me for the Areas of Tatooine. There are simply so many on this planet that this page will get quite long.
Mos Eisley
Quite extensive, with many many areas found within, the city of Mos Eisley is a simple area meant for most levels under 25. At most points you will come to a gate when leaving the city. Beware of exactly where you are going for most lowbies tend to get lost and killed when they wander away from the city and into the Tatooine desert.
Important Mobs
- Stormtroopers and Sandtroopers: These are helpers and will be a formidable foe for levels beneath 25 or so. I suggest not attacking anything with a Stormie or Sandie in the room unless you're a capable level to handle both mobs. Sandies are quite hard (lvl. 24) and Stormies are their inferior counterparts (lvl. 15).
- Citizens and other low level mobs: I personally suggest that you not attack any other mobs inside the city just for the sake of safety from the ST's. The lower level mobs in the city contain low exp, low credits, and extremely useless equipment. They are simply not worth your time or trouble.
Jawa Sandcrawler
Remember the first movie, where Luke came upon the large and oddly shaped Sandcrawler to purchase some droids? Well, here it is. I suggest this place for levels 4-10 depending upon your eq. You'll explore through the entire sandcrawler, cockpit - storage areas - and various hallways, even a secret exit.
Directions from port: 2S 5W N
Important Mobs
- Jawas: Not much to say on these guys. Short, cloaked, and ugly. Average exp is about 70 or so. Most levels can easily kill one. (lvl. 3+) Their technician and driver counterparts are just as easy.
- Droids: These are hidden away inside the Sandcrawler's massive storage areas. I suggest (lvl. 5+). These droids give around a few hundred exp.(100-350?)
Newbie Zone
Here's an excellent spot for beginners to gain knowledge, exp, and some small eq.
Directions from port: U
Important Mobs
- Gundark: The hardest mob of the entire newbie area. I suggest level 5 or so. He has two pieces of eq. The -hide of a gundark- and -ears of a gundark-. The hide is awesome with an ac5 and +10hp. I suggest you get this at all costs. The ears are simple a few ac with +str. Directions: once in newbie zone entryway, N 2E 2S E D 3N E S W.
- Dark Jedi Trainer: He's not too bad, just give him a try and see what you can do. Nice eq, the glowing jar. It is a permanent light, which means no more handlights and worklights going out when you need them the most. My advice, get it.
- Imperial Guard: He's not too bad, just give him a try and see what you can do. Nice eq, navy helm and ring. The helm is +con, vital for when you level. The ring is simply that. +1ac.
Tuskan Canyons
Most mobs in this area are aggie so be careful. I suggest level 15 or so before you explore confidently through here. The Defender guild is located in this area, somewhere south of Obi.
Directions from port: 2S 5W
Important Mobs
- Tuskan Raiders: Aggie. The very ones who ambushed Luke and Obi in the canyons. They have a nice stick thats a good weapon for newbies. They also posses a desert cloak which is nice for ac.
- Obi-Wan: When here type heal and you'll see a list of what Obi can do for you, for a price. He's very hard, (lvl. 40). I suggest just using him for heals. He has Bens Robes, and Ben's Lightsaber. Their stats arent' that great, even for a lower level.
DT's.
- A good possibility, after all, its a canyon. Beware.
Thornton's House and Basement
Some of the mobs in here can be quite hard. I suggest level 8+ for the house and 15+ for the basement level. Nice eq can be found in the basement where supposed rebels are laying low until their next uprising.
Directions from port: AllSouth W S E S E N AllEast(to the gate)
Important Mobs
- Shawn Thornton: Basically, not worth it. Low exp, low credits. His eq isn't worth the time and is usually more damaging than helpful.
- Basement mobs: The mobs here are somewhat difficult. Beware of Cad, he hits three times a round and quite hard. Cad's blaster is quite good for lower levels and so is Thorne's lightsaber which is also in here, as well as Alexa's blaster. Sebastion loads with a nice trenchcoat(+10hp) and Jade loads with pendants that are +con. Wolf hits twice per round but wields a nice holdable called Wolf's bane, I suggest for levels with multiwield.
DT's.
- No dt's, but I suggest not opening the grate in the basement or going below the house's basement. There are raptors down there that will tear you up.
Jabba's Palace
The very ruling palace of Jabba himself. This is where Han was brought after his capture by Boba Fett. Also this is where the monstrous Rancor is kept to devour Jabba's entertainmentary victims. Jabba's evil friends lurk everywhere.
Directions from port: AllNorth 4W
Important Mobs
- Jabba and his 2 Guards: They're not as hard as you may think. The guards are hidden and will assist. They contain no real eq, but if you decide to take them, be at least level 30+ and take out the guards first. The room is !magic, so be ready to flee.
- Rancor: Definitly a level 35+ mob. He's located below the dance floor. He has 3hits, and does Oblits/Errads thru sanctuary. May load with Skywalker's Cloak which is ac9 +20mn. You're not going to choke this one on any bone.
- Gamorrean guards: Pig-faced and ugly, these huge guys aren't all that hard. (lvl. 15+) They flee quite often and give about 2k in exp.
- Tesseck and Melshock: These guys are aggie, beware newbies. They are located in a room behind a closed door named the Hologram room. (lvl. 12+)
DT's.
- The Sarlacc Pit. Once you go up onto Jabba's sail barge or foredeck, you won't be able to get off until later when you can exit upon the Tatooine desert(don't do that though, use a pass). The pit is usually on either side of you so bewary not to flee or jump right in.
Jabba's Townhouse
Jabba's home away from home. I beleive this is where Jabba rules some of his minions on Tatooine. It's full of Jabba's servants, slaves, and a few guards. It has three main levels. I suggest you be level 20+ before you go into the third level/winding hallways. Most mobs here are aggie.
Directions from port: AllSouth W S E S E N W
Important Mobs
- Servants, slaves, guards: Not much to worry about. Low exp and credits. I suggest level 12+.
- Winding Hallway mobs: There's quite a few of these. All of them are aggie and deserve respect from lower levels. Most have low eq but nice exp and credits.
- Jodo Kast: A worthy foe. Kast has three hits of about 'extremely hard' through sanctuary. He's well worth it with 10k exp and some nice eq. Kast's Armor has nice ac. The net is a good container. Mounted wrist laser is +1dam +1hit. Beware of Kast's energy pulse and punch.
DT's.
- None that I know of, I doubt it.
Monastery
A living Death Trap. A relativly small place, not really worth mentioning except for the fact of its dt.
Directions from port: AllNorth Eastward
Important Mobs
- Snakes and other small mobs: Not worth the fight, though most are aggie. Newbies should beware.
DT's.
- Anywhere that you climb up the side of the monastery or possibly even its stairs, the way down is a dt. In some places there ARE ladders to climb down, so choose wisely.
Chalmun's Cantina
This is the cantina where Han met with Luke. There's quite a few of mobs in here, most are safe for lower levels but a few should be watched out for. I suggest level 15+ to capably take most mobs here. Possibly a couple which are aggie.
Directions from port: Eastward
Important Mobs
- I'm sorry but I don't have much experience in here. more to come.
Mos Eisley City Zoo
Look at the cute animals! Yes, its the city zoo. With dozens of gates and cages, you may find anything behind any door. Beware of all cages, some contain aggie mobs. Most mobs in here are relatively tame, though a few need your help for some well-needed training. Inside one of the zoos buildings, a large mob lurks behind one of the cages. My advice, if it says the name of any usually large mob (exp. Rancor), I suggest you stay clear. Otherwise I suggest level 18+.
Directions from port: AllSouth W 2S W 2S E S
Important Mobs
- Elevions: These are aggie and sanced. They have a tusk which is either holdable or one-handed. Exp is moderate.
- Various caged mobs: Most are quite tame and not too hard. (example. Three-toed Thoose.) Their exp isn't too bad either. One tip, make sure when you enter a cage that you the doorway out is open if you need to flee.
Krayt Dragon Caves
A very scary place. Their heavy breathing and horid stench of rotten flesh permeate the entire air of their caves.
Directions from port: Sorry. Not sure. Near Tuskan Canyons.
Important Mobs
- Krayt Dragons: I believe there are more than one, and of varying harshness. The big boy is quite hard, hits at least 2-Oblits thru sanc and has enormous hp. He loads with nice eq though. large-round-sheild(ac5), krayt pearl (+3dam +?hp), an iron helmet, and some see invis potion. If he has the Pearl, or another Jedi Personal Saber part, then he's definitly worth the trouble!
DT's.
- None known. But be very aware.
Below the City of Mos Eisley (aka Sewers)
Beware. Often the sewers lead to other places around Mos Eisley. There are raptors down here though that will tear most players to pieces quickly. Beware of Dt's. I think there are a few down there. Also, look for an area where you need to kill the Sandtrooper guards for a green key. Use this to open a secret door in the same area. Inside is some credits and a droid pad which will make you your own personal droid. Not very good, but kinda neat.
Directions from port: Down from Thornton's Basement. As well as down from Lady Valarian's, open the trapdoor.
Important Mobs
- Raptors: Ever seen Jurassic Park? Same ferocity, same thirst for Your blood. They attack ?3times per round and hit about ?very hard. They occasionally load with the raptor claw (+dam)
DT's.
- Not sure of exact rooms, but definitly some around.
